Year In Industry Placements

Cornish WebServices have provided internships and year in industry placements in areas of digital design, development and marketing.

We specialise in multilingual websites and marketing in addition to providing web development and design to over one hundred organisations. Clients include Alcoa, The British Museum, defra, The Childrens' Society, Next Holiday, Readicut.

We will consider applicants at any time of the year. Most opportunities are based in our main offices in Kent (at the Canterbury Innovation Centre) but we sometimes have opportunites in Cornwall (Truro). Most staff work at least partially from home and this would be a possibility for 1-3 days per week, with 2-5 days per week being based in our offices.

We particularly welcome applications from those who speak oher languages fluently - especially Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, French and German.

Digital Marketing - based in Kent

This role is helping with a variety of tasks with digital marketing, including website and mobile and social marketing. It is a varied and interesting role covering many aspects of Marketing.

This role would suit someone who is strongly analytical and interested in business and marketing studies as well as able to write good reports and articles on a variety of topics.We expect either a high standard of written English (for English language work) or fluency in another language for our multilingual work.

Front end designer / web developer job - based in Kent

Role is likely to include designing and coding up mobile sites, mobile apps and facebook apps along with some websites.

The skills we require are:

Good eye for design
Good HTML/CSS coding ability
Basic Knowledge of JavaScript / JQuery (able to implement JQuery to a website design)
Good knowledge of English

And any of the following would be preferable but not essential. Many would be learnt on the job.

Excellent HTML/CSS
Knowledge of LESS CSS
Excellent Javascript/JQuery
Some knowledge of PHP/MYSQL
Ability to use graphic packages such as Adobe Fireworks, Photoshop
Good knowledge of other languages (especially Arabic, Russian, German, Spanish)

Salary is dependent on skill level and would rise as skills are learnt.

Web developer job - based in Kent

The skills we require for a web developer / programmer position are:

Good HTML/CSS coding ability
Confident knowledge of PHP / MySQL development
Knowledge of JavaScript / Ajax / JQuery (able to implement JQuery to a website design)
Good knowledge of English

And any of the following would be preferable. Many would be learnt on the job.

Ability to use graphic packages such as Adobe Fireworks
Excellent knowledg ogf PHP/MySQL development
Excellent HTML/CSS
Excellent Javascript / JQuery
Good knowledge of other languages (especially Arabic, Russian, German, Spanish)
Knowledge of other programming languages such as .NET

Salary is dependent on skill level and would rise as skills are learnt.

Copy writing internship - year in industry - based in Kent

We often have opportunities for copy writers, particularly those able to write on technical subjects.
