Web developer
Cornish WebServices sometimes have sometimes have vacancies for web site programmers.
For this we would expect a good level of knowledge of PHP / MySQL, plus some knowledge of other languages such as JavaScript, Perl or ASP. The ability to hand-code in html to the latest web standards is also required. A working knowledge of Magento, Joomla and other widely used systems and frameworks is an advantage.
This role would be for the first three months at our Canterbury offices 2-3 days per week for training. After this initial training period there is opportunity for working in other locations.
The skills we require for a web developer position are:
- Good HTML/CSS coding ability (ability to handcode fully accessible XHTML with valid CSS2 and CSS3)
- Excellent knowledge of PHP / MySQL development
- Knowledge of JavaScript / Ajax / JQuery (able to implement JQuery to a website design)
- Good knowledge of English
And any of the following would be preferable:
- Ability to use graphic packages such as Adobe Fireworks
- Knowledge of Magento / Joomla / ecommerce applications
- Good knowledge of other languages (especially Arabic, Russian, German, Spanish)
- Knowledge of other programming languages such as .NET
