18/01/2013

Now January is in full swing and the cold weather is biting, it may be time to start planning for your summer holiday. It’s always good to plan ahead in order to have a break to look forward to.

Plus with the difficult economic situation you may want to make sure you have financially planned big expenditures like holidays ahead of time. If you are worried about the pennies, it may be a good idea to holiday in Britain this summer.

If you are going to choose to stay at home for your holiday, a good place to head to is Cornwall. With its wonderful beaches, dramatic countryside and relaxed atmosphere – it has become the holiday haven for many Brits in recent years.

Looe and Polperro

Coastal Cornwall is really popular and there are some fantastic little fishing villages to visit, like Looe and Polperro. They really do retain the charm of years gone by and you can stay in converted fisherman’s cottages or modern flats with access to the beach.

The weather in Cornwall is usually pretty good too. Because it partly faces the Atlantic coast, Cornwall often has higher temperatures than the rest of Britain and even some rather tropical plants - like the palm tree - can thrive there!

There really is so much variety in Cornwall and if you want to get out and explore, the best place to stay is in a self-catering holiday home. Then you can come and go as you please, either eating out or staying in depending on your mood.

So why not choose Cornwall for you summer holiday this year? Or alternatively visit any time of year, as this beautiful part of Britain has such great atmosphere it is a wonderful place to visit all year round.

Looe and Polperro are a Cornish holiday company that specialise in self catering properties in and around the fishing villages of Looe and Polperro.

They also have a website called Cornish Holiday Lettings that provides holiday homes across Cornwall. So what ever type of holiday home you are looking for, they can provide it.
