Flash Enhanced Websites
Crouch Butler
Crouch Butler came to cornish webservices with the request of a site entirely in flash. However here at cornish we aim to design seo friendly websites, we found a compromise by designing a lot of the main site in flash but still using standard html style menus.
This mix of old and new style mediums has created a very visually attractive website while still being very seo friendly. Even with so much flash on the site we have managed to get them in the top rankings for architect Birmingham.
TVSAS
Tvsas wanted a html based website with a strong sales message, here at cornish we decided that the best way to get that across was with a flash header on their website.
A flash header is a great way to get visually appealing graphics onto your site without having to compromise the seo and accessibility of the site.
The main challenge with this flash was to incorporate a user interface to search for a branch, using a blend of flash action scripts and php, we managed to create a user friendly form.
Remap
Remap is a site that specialises in equipment for people with special needs, this meant that the site had to be very accessible to screen readers and people with vision impairments.
We added many tools to this site including text size changers, but the site was looking very bland and not to appealing to the eye. So we decided to add some flash content, we decided that the flash should be just images as any text content would not be read by screen readers. Also we decided to make it very large for people with bad eye sight as the site could not be changed by the user, the end result came up very nicely and was even featured on the BBC
Gatwick Belmont
The site for the Gatwick Belmont is a good example of how high quality images can be merged with a strong sales message to create a good looking flash.
As the Gatwick Belont is a guest house their main concern was showing images directly to their clients on their site, as images are what the potential clients want to see.
By creating an almost mpu style flash we get a strong graphical sales message across while still having a good amount of content on the page.
Pearl Scan
Pearl scan came to cornish webservices wanting a redesign of their website, with a more appealing visual aspect.
The challenge for us was to create a visually attractive and informative flash, from content which may not be the most exiting to work with.
We decided to add some bold colours and new graphics in a flash header. Which incorporated Pearl Scans main services while still being visually appealing.
