Google AdWords PPC Advertising

Boost Your Business With PPC

Google Adwords ManagementGoogle AdWords is the market leader in Pay per Click Advertising and in our experience it usually offers the best ROI for UK businesses. For some markets, other pay per click providers such as Overture may offer a better ROI.

This page summarises the major benefits of using Google AdWords PPC Advertising to promote your website.

Contact Cornish WebServices for a realistic quotation to manage your Google AdWords pay per click (PPC) advertising campaign. We are also able to offer very competitive quotations for managing a broader range of Internet Marketing activities such as pay per click advertising, natural search engine optimisation, reciprocal link management, and submission to relevant Internet directories. The reason for this is the significant overlap in work for many of the above services.

Maximise Advertising Budget ROI

With Google AdWords, you are able to reach your customers at the precise moment they are looking for your products or services. When users search on Google, they a’re demonstrating which products they are interested in. With AdWords ads, your customers will see your ad next to relevant search results they have requested. In addition, your ads could also appear on relevant search and content sites within the Google Network. With Google’s precise targeting and the ability to control how much you a’re willing to pay per click, the end result is a higher return on investment (ROI) for your advertising budget.

Targeted Advertising

Show your ads to people who want what you have.

With Google AdWords, you only reach people interested in your products and services. That is because your ad only gets displayed to people seeking information related to the keywords chosen. So instead of looking for an audience, you have an audience that's looking for you.

Wide Advertising Coverage

Your ads can appear on Google.com or on regional search results such as google.co.uk as well as the Google Network of search and content sites, which includes AOL, and Amazon. The Google Network reaches more than 80% of Internet users worldwide. Whether you need to make contact with countless thousands or a select few, Google AdWords can reach them on a regional, city, county, national or global level. AdWords even allows you to create your own customised target area by designating a geographic radius or boundary. And, should you need to advertise internationally, AdWords lets you target your ads in about 40 different languages, throughout more than 190 countries.

Pay By Results

One reason AdWords ads have such incredible ROI (return on investment) is that your "I" is so little. You decide what you are willing to pay for each click on your ad, and you place a limit on what you'd like to spend each day (there's no minimum spending requirement). Your cost-per-click could be as low as 4p, and you only pay Google when people click on your ad. That means you're investing in definite leads, not hit-or-miss ads.

Continual Improvement By Results

See what's working. Then do it again.

Unlike other advertising, you can do more than just put your AdWords ads out there, cross your fingers, and hold your breath. Instead, with online tracking tools, you can keep a close watch on their effectiveness to determine which of your ads are generating the most clicks and which are converting to sales, leads, sign-ups, downloads or page views. And, your AdWords ads can be continually altered and refined to drive even better results.

UK Management of Adwords

Cornish WebServices provide a PPC management service to UK businesses and organisations. We can handle target markets in the UK or worldwide.

We have adopted a policy of only using staff who have passed the Google AdWords Professional Exam to manage client PPC accounts. We think we were the first UK PPC management company to operate this policy. This ensures we can offer the highest standard of service to all clients.

Adwords Management Fees

There are many different ways to charge for PPC management services and our guide to pay per click management prices gives a summary of the most common ways of charging fees for PPC management services. Visit our PPC management services page for information on our  pay per click management fees.

PPC Advertising Principles

The following are some of the key issues to consider when managing a Google AdWords pay per click advertising campaign.

  • Pay per click keyword selection
  • Pay per click maximum cost per click (CPC)
  • Pay per click advertising copy
  • Pay per click tracking

For a more detailed description of these issues, visit our pay per click management information page.

Adwords ROI & PPC Tracking

Google provides a tracking system to allow you to monitor the effectiveness of your advertising spend. Google's system does require either a small logo (Google Site Stats) or a text link to appear on your final destination page. Cornish WebServices can implement and monitor these tracking systems.

It is also possible to use other 3rd party tracking systems - although most of these work best only on Overture and other non-Google pay per click systems. ROI tracking systems work best when used in conjunction with other data such as web statistics or page tracking systems. Cornish WebServices can provide analysis from these various systems and produce a concise monthly management report on your website activity.

Many of these PPC ROI systems (including Google's own system) only allow the tracking and calculation of ROI from paid visitors. They do not include visitors who have arrived naturally (without payment) from the search engines. There are alternative visitor tracking systems that allow the ROI of all visitors to be analysed. Cornish WebServices often prefer to use these. Firstly, most of our clients receive a high percentage of non paying visitors (we initially specialised in search engine optimised websites) and secondly this provides a check on the accuracy of the Google AdWords reporting and enables independent checking for click-fraud. Google does have checks in place to prevent over-charging from fraudulent clicks, but for larger advertising budgets we always try to check this independently and have occasionally contacted Google AdWords on a client's behalf.

Google AdWords PPC Sectors

Cornish WebServices have managed PPC campaigns on Google AdWords for the following types of client:

  • Business to business (B2B)
  • Business to consumer (B2C)
  • Businesses focused on the UK market (both general UK and targeting specific regions)
  • Business targeting an International market

We have experience in managing a very broad range of budgets from a few hundred pounds up to several thousand per month. We do not publish details of our clients budgets on the Internet as it is not our policy to publicise valuable client marketing information. One of the big advantages of Google AdWords over Overture is that you are not revealing your advertising spend to competitors. It is not therefore appropriate for PPC management companies such as Cornish WebServices to reveal this information.
