What is a Pay Per Click Campaign?

Pay per click Campaigns are use in two ways within the Internet Marketing Industry.

Firstly, marketing managers often refer to the Pay per click campaign in terms of the budget allocated to that part of Internet Marketing called pay per click (or paid) advertising. This may include advertising on several pay per click providers such as AdWords and Yahoo

Secondly a pay per click campaign is a term used within the management of pay per click advertising and refers to the highest level of ad grouping. Pay per Click (PPC) Campaign Management Services offered

Cornish WebServices provide a PPC campaign management on all the major PPC Search Enginesincluding Google AdWords and Yahoo Search (formerly Overture) in both English and other languages. We can also manage pay per click campaigns on Yandex (Russian) and other International paid search providers.

We are not tied in to any particular PPC bid analysis or campaign bid tracking package. This is intentional, allowing us to select the optimum method for each client, and to change packages as improvements are made to some of them. We are also flexible in the manner in which we manage pay per click campaigns. For some clients we set up the account and manage the entire process including topping up the ad account funds. For other clients we handle just the keyword selection, bid prices, ad copy and tracking analysis. This leaves payment of the PPC provider to the client.

Included within our PPC management services is initial keyword selection, loading or editing the campaign data, monitoring the results and proactively making changes to optimise the campaign settings. Frequency of monitoring does depend on budget and the level of monitoring required, but is typically 3-10 times more often than the reporting interval.

For most clients we also periodically check for click-through fraud, and in the last year have several times contacted PPC service providers on a client's behalf when log files look suspicious.

The major pay per click providers (Google and Yahoo - formerly Overture) now provide tracking systems to allow you to monitor the effectiveness of your advertising spend. Google's system does require either a small logo (Google Site Stats) or a text link to appear on your final destination page. Cornish WebServices can implement and monitor these tracking systems.

In addition to using tracking provided by the PPC provider, we sometimes use other tracking software as this enables a better analysis of both PPC data and visitors who have arrived either naturally through the search engines or via email newsletters.
