Contribute Guide: Adding Links to your Site

Adding links to your site in Adobe ContributeŽ is a very simple process. The first thing you have to do, however, is make the decision whether your links are internal or external.

  • An internal link is a link to an existing page in your site
  • An external link is a link to another web site

The process for adding both types off links are very similar at the start with a very small change at the end, so lets get started.

  1. Highlight the text you want to make into a link, and then click the link button in the top menu. As shown on the right.

  2. Now click on the Browse to Web Page... tab to open the link properties window.

  3. Now is the stage where it changes depending on if you are going to internally or externally link.

  4. For external linking simply input your web adress into the Web address url box you want to link to, as shown below. Click OK and you're done.

  5. To Internally link i.e. to a page in your own site click the choose button.

  6. The chose file window will pop up and all you then have to do is navigate through the folders to the page you want to link to and click OK.

You now know how to link to pages in your site and outside of your site.
