Contribute Guide: Adding Images to your Page
You can add images to your pages very simply with Adobe Contribute®, however before adding images to your site you must first think of a few things.
- Do you have the rights and permission to use the image you are placing on your site? You cannot just take images from Google etc without permission.
- How large is the image? Is the file size of the image too large for the web? A good way of testing and reducing the size of images is through a program called pixels.
- Are the images you are uploading appropriate for the viewers of your site?
To add an image to your site click on the image button in the top menu as shown before.
- If you want to add a photo from your computer click 'From My Computer...'.
- If you have already uploaded your photos on another page click 'From Website...' and navigate to your image folder.
- We do not suggest that you link images from other websites ('From internet...').
You will be prompted to insert alternate text. This should be a short description of the image that can be used by screen readers, and is displayed in the event the image doesn't load.
Your image should now appear in your document and once you hit publish will upload to your server.
