Twitter Makes Changes

16/08/2011

Social networking site Twitter has made some enhancements to its interface.

The old Twitter @mention tab is replaced with two new tabs: an “@username” tab and a new “Activity” tab.

Similar to Google+, these tabs show new people who have followed you and new activity of people in your network.

You can also now upload images 3MB or smaller directly from your Twitter account, making it easier to share pictures.

Comment:

Twitter is competing with Facebook and Google+ to enable users to share and organise more information. These enhancements make social networking more interactive and promote the sharing of data.

This is good in terms of keeping your online community connected and can be good for businesses who want to network with their customers and keep an eye on competitors.

Cornish WebServices can offer social media advice and help online businesses to get connected through Twitter and Facebook.
