Facebook to End its Free Advertising?

08/02/2012

Until now it has been free for advertisers to place ads on Facebook, but this could all be about to change. The social network soon hopes to turn advertisers into paying customers.

Currently if a Facebook user ‘Likes’ a particular brand, they can be presented with adverts from that brand on their Facebook page.

Perhaps the social media site think they are missing out on a golden revenue opportunity here by not making advertisers pay.

With the proposed flotation of Facebook on the stockmarket, making it open to investors, this could all be about to change. After all, ad sales could have a bearing on market value.

Cornish WebServices help our clients gain a presence on Facebook. We can set up Facebook pages for businesses that increase their visibility online.
