A mini fundraising adventure!

LEJOG (Lands End to John O’Groats) is an annual convoy of Minis that drive the length of Britain, from Lands End in Cornwall to John O’Groats in Scotland! Cornish WebServices sponsors this yearly fund-raising event, which in 2011 runs from 27th June-1st July.
The charity mini drive raises money for two charities; the Demelza House Children’s Hospice in Kent and the Little Bridge House Children’s Hospice South West. Demelza is a Kent-based charity providing hospice care to over 600 children with life-limiting illnesses, as well as support to their families.
Michelle, a Senior Website Developer for Cornish WebServices, has been taking part in LEJOG every year since 2000. Cornish WebServices head office is based in Canterbury and Michelle also lives in the local area.
Michelle chose Demelza House as a local charity to donate proceeds to. So the Mini run has links to the Kent area and many local people follow the Mini convoy progress with interest as they journey through the country.
Tim, a Senior Designer at Cornish WebServices, also runs a branch of Cornish WebServices in Cornwall – very near to where the Minis set off. So there will be Cornish support for the Minis at the start of their run!
Alongside her Mum Carol, Michelle leads the mini convoy in her trusted vintage mini Jock - complete with his Union Jack roof and matching Mini trailer! Michelle expects to raise well over £1,000 this year. This will be added to the total raised by the other Minis involved.
The event is organised by Linda and Terry Baker of the North Devon Mini Register, who also put on the Legendary Mini Grand Tour each year. They are real Mini enthusiasts and supporters of many charities who have been organising similar events for years.
